General Information
The Consular Section of the Portuguese Embassy in Washington DC issues Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates for Portuguese Citizens, provided that these documents are in digitalized form.

For those older certificates that are not digitalized, or those of deceased persons, we suggest that you contact the Registrar Office of your birth place directly. For a list of the Registrar offices please consult the following link: www.portaldocidadao.pt

For your application to be processed it is required to report correctly the data of the holder of the certificate in the application attached.

Consular Fees
U.S. $ 21.31 per certificate. Please send Money order or certified check in the amount as well as a prepaid envelope for express mail if you wish us to send you the certificate by registered mail.
